ABSECON — Absecon Schools staff will face the Harlem Wizards 7 p.m. Monday, June 10 at Absegami High School, 201 S. Wrangleboro Road, in Galloway Township, in a basketball game fundraiser benefiting the Absecon Parent Teacher Organization.
“The Absecon PTO is excited to have the Harlem Wizards basketball team play against our teachers and staff. It is a great opportunity to bring out your family for a night of fun and entertainment, while supporting our school district,” said Katie Hubner, president of the Absecon PTO.
The Harlem Wizards combine amazing basketball talent with a magical display of tricks and comedy to create awe-inspiring events throughout the country.
Despite the challenges they are sure to face, the Absecon School Staff team, which recently came off a win for the second year in a row against the Attales Middle School 8th Grader team, is optimistic about their chances. The Absecon team will be led by Attales teachers Korey Morgenweck and Amanda Witmer.
Win or lose, the entertainment will be nonstop. Throughout the game, fans will experience a magical display of tricks, coordinated ball handling, fancy passing and aerodynamic athleticism combined with high-energy comedy and audience interaction.
Tickets purchased before the event are $17 for adults and $15 for students, and can be purchased at harlemwizards.com/tickets/absecon.
Tickets can be purchased online until three hours prior to the event. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20 for adults and $18 for students.
