Keaghan M. and Mr. Burns receive Sledgehammer Award at Spring Family Meeting
Eighth-grader Keaghan M. and Attales Principal Mr. Burns are the latest recipients of the Attales Middle School Sledgehammer Award.
Student Leila R. (8th Grade) and Mrs. Rosenberger had the chance to announce the new Award winners during the Family Meeting before Spring Break on Thursday, March 28.
According to Mrs. Rosenberger, Keaghan was a deserving recipient because he "demonstrates the strength of character that has always impressed" her.
"This person doesnt let the past define them or the future intimidate them," she said.
Leila selected Mr. Burns (who had awarded her the Sledgehammer last) because he is a "very hard worker, and always making sure the students are working to their maximum potential."
"He has presented me with many opportunities to better myself and share my story. Our school, our Thank You Events, Family Meetings and everything wouldn't be the same with you, Mr. Burns," she said. "Thank you for everything."
